What is MLK Day and why do we celebrate it?

In the United States, Martin Luther King, Jr., Day is observed annually on the third Monday in January. The day commemorates the life and work of Dr King, who was a Baptist minister and prominent leader in the American civil rights movement. 

To commemorate this day, some of our students have described their dream for a better world using the famous I have a dream speech that Martin Luther King delivered on August 28, 1963, on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C.
