The European Day of Languages (26th September) was established by the Council of Europe in 2001 to promote linguistic diversity and multiculturalism. Europe is home to over 200 different languages.

This day serves to encourage language learning, raise awareness about the importance of linguistic skills, and promote cultural heritage.

For school teenagers, multilingualism is increasingly vital in our globalized world. Learning multiple languages enhances cognitive abilities, improving problem-solving and critical thinking skills. It also fosters greater cultural awareness and empathy, allowing young people to connect with people from other, diverse communities. Additionally, multilingualism opens up numerous academic and career opportunities in an interconnected job market.
