ORAL PRESENTATIONS
Oral presentations can be scary sometimes. But don't panic! Here you are some tips to help you:
DO:
- Prepare in advance. Use a PowerPoint and short notes to help you.
- Use simple sentences to express your ideas clearly.
- Pause from time to time and don’t speak too quickly.
- Speak clearly and at the right volume. Have a right posture and keep eye-contact with your listeners.
- Have your notes ready to have a look if necessary.
- Practise your presentation. Practice makes perfect.
- Organise your presentation: introduction, development and conclusion.
- Make sure your digital resources work well.
DON'T:
- Learn every word by heart.
- Read your notes.
- Use very informal language (unless required).
