Objectives

Comenius Regio Partnerships promote cooperation between local and regional authorities in order to improve the quality of school education in the partner regions. Our objectives are:

To share good practice, comparing approaches and methods in language teaching in primary and secondary schools in Madrid and Edinburgh.
To compare and evaluate materials currently in use in the classroom.
To develop a common framework for materials design.
To identify relevant educational and cultural theme(s) as the basis of embedding language teaching using a cross-curricular or CLIL approach.
To provide an accessible vehicle for high quality teacher exchange.
To set up inter-school links between participating schools.
To set up an online community to continue to share ideas, materials and disseminate more widely.
